Platform / DevOps Engineer

About this role

You will own the infrastructure and developer-experience layer at OptiKratos. That means operating our 19-stage GitLab CI pipeline, managing container orchestration, and hardening the path to production for a rapidly growing modular monolith. You will also drive the SOC 2 infrastructure controls: audit logging, secrets management, and network segmentation.

What you'll do

• Maintain and extend the 19-stage GitLab CI/CD pipeline — build, test, security scan, deploy.
• Manage container infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes or ECS) for staging and production environments.
• Implement and operate observability stack: metrics, logs, traces (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki or equivalent).
• Own secrets management, certificate rotation, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or Pulumi).
• Drive SOC 2 Type II infrastructure controls — audit trails, access reviews, network segmentation.
• Partner with Engineering on developer experience: local dev setup, preview environments, deployment automation.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
• Production experience with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions pipeline design.
• Strong Docker skills; experience with Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, or self-managed) or AWS ECS.
• Infrastructure-as-code proficiency (Terraform preferred).
• Experience with Linux system administration and network security fundamentals.

• SOC 2 or ISO 27001 compliance experience.
• Familiarity with Tyk API Gateway or Kong.
• Experience with PostgreSQL HA setups and Redis Sentinel/Cluster.
